Directions:  From Main Street & Houston Avenue in Denison, travel west on Main Street. Turn left onto Armstrong Avenue. Turn right on Old Sherman Road.  In approximately 2.5 miles is the entrace to Lake Waterloo.

Lake Waterloo is the secondary source of Denison's water supply.  It covers 170 acres where fishing is allowed on permit from the city engineers office, City Hall, Denison.  When the lake was constructed in 1890, it was the primary source of Denison's water supply.  The first mule drawn cars traversed the town and went on to Waterloo Park, which was the main recreation center for the area.
