DREAM PROPHECIES MAN’S DEATH
Dallas Morning News
February 21, 1907

Denison - The conductor of ill-fated train is almost persuaded to lay off work that day because of a dream.A remarkable case of premonition of death through a dream has come to light in connection with the Katy collision near Ward, I.T. where Conductor Burekell was killed.

A few minutes before the collision occurred, Conductor Burekell told the story of his dream to Bob Duel, the fireman on the train. He also told it to others during the day.Conductor Burekell dreamed that he had gone to heaven, and that heaven was on the end of his run. When he arrived there, he found that he was over time.Trainmaster Gardner in the dream told Burekell that it was all right and that he would draw straight time while he was in heaven. The dream made somewhat of an impression on the conductor and he almost made up his mind to lay off work.
