Robert Taylor of Pilot Grove and Miss Bettie Hunter of Van Alstyne were married Sunday.} James Spivey Badgett, 82, died at his home here last Thursday night. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Jarvis on May 15. Alvin R. Magers and Mrs. Mary Jane Grimes were married Monday. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Artesberry of Dallas on May 12. W.D. McKee moved his family here this week from Hollis, Oklahoma. 20 YEARS AGO (From The Sun, May 19, 1932) Lowell Watson and Melvin Anderson have purchased the Palace Barber Shop. Paul Roberts, 46, died at his home here Monday. The 7th grade honor students are Lytle Biggerstaff and Louise Glidden. Pat Garner was severely injured in a ball game here when hit in the face by a bat. - - - Desert News 25 YEARS AGO (From The Sun, May 20, 1937) Anita Vestal is Valdictorian and Kathleen Mitchell is salu tatorian of the senior class. Frank Wright and Harold Doss have returned from a fishing trip to Graham. Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Genevieve Davidson of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Mr. W.L. Gordon of Dallas on March 27. Ralph Sanders, 35, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Grace Roberts T uesday.
