J. D. Judd House 
Van Alstyne, Texas


In 1905 J.D. Judd began construction of this house as a wedding present for his bride, Annie Taft Carter. 
He formed his own wagon train to cart the lumber and millwork from Jefferson, Texas. 
Elizabeth Carter Judd, daughter, married Audrey A. Edwards in 1923 and the homeplace remains in the Edwards family.
