 The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, December 16, 1883 pg. 1 FIRE AT VAN ALSTYNE There was a destructive fire in Van Alstyne last Thursday morning. It originated in Mr. J.P. Leslie's drug store, and spread to the store of W.K. & R.S. Henderson, destroying both buildings, and most of the contents. Henderson's loss is estimated at $10,000; insurance $5,300.
