PILOT GROVE NEWS
Rain last week hindered cotton picking and other work.  Everyone would be glad to see fair weather for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Kaiser entertained the Epworth League with a social Tuesday night.  A large crowd and enjoyable evening was the result.
Several from here were in Sherman last week, shopping and taking in the Red River Valley Fair.
S.F. Garland was in Dallas the first of the week.
Howard  McSpedden and family are moving to Greenville, where they will make their home for the present.
Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Russell on the 7th, a daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Scott and little daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Ewell Scott spent Monday with relatives in Van Alstyne.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Cameron of Sherman were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Sloan.
John Scott was a Bonham business visitor Monday.
Several from here were shopping in Whitewright Monday.  Others were in Van Alstyne for 2nd Monday Trades Day.
Rev. M.C. Sooter will preach here next Sunday, this being the last appointment before annual conference.
