i The Denison Daily Herald Monday, March 26, 1906 pg. 3 GRAYSON COUNTY HOWE Howe, Texas, March 22 - B.W. Ballard & Co. have sold their stock of dry goods here to D.O. Duston of Ardmore, I.T. Mr. Duston will remove the stock to some territory town. The various Sunday schools of this town will hold a union temperance service next Sunday. Captain W.H. Bean is visiting in South Texas. J.T. Stark and family of Plano were visitors in Howe Sunday. Mrs. E .C. Taylor spent several days in Sherman, returning home Monday. Mrs. William Tolbert returned Tuesday from an extended visit to relatives in the Eastern states. T.W. Burke made a business trip to the state capital this week. Miss Grace Burke was at home Sunday from Cottondale, where she is teaching school. Interest is being revived to some extent here in the proposed Sherman-Dallas interurban railway. The committee has been asked to complete at once the subscription for the right of way through Howe and vicinity. Mr. Colaw, past I.O.O.F. grand master of the state of Kansas, met with the Odd Fellows here Wednesday and delivered an interesting lecture. Lewis Thompson has typhoid fever.
