The five-story Leeper-Boldrick Building, built in 1891, was part of namesake of J.E. Boldrick's father, Tom.
After going bankrupt in 1896, he reopened his shoe business under his son's name.

A.L. Knaur Grocer did business at 314 West Main Street, before moving next door to 316 West Main Street by 1901.
