TOM FOX
The other day a reporter dropped into Tom Fox's saloon to have a prescription filled for the cure of hydrophobia - Tom keeps such drugs, you know - and was compelled to wait fully half-an-hour for the medicine. You see - so it appeared - almost every man in town was suffering of hydrophobia, and Tom was very busy filling prescriptions. His medicine is indeed very agreeable to take, consisting of fine whiskey, brandy, wine, cigars, etc., in fact it's perfectly delightful to be bitten by a rabid dog, and go to Fox's for medicine. A great many men keep mad-dogs in their yards to bite them several times a day.
Next week Tom and old man Saddler are going up to the Territory to hunt some hidden treasure with that "bob" we mentioned last year. The Gazetteer will be represented in the hunt. In the meantime remember that Tom Fix, the "big Irishman," is one of the politest saloon men in the city.
