FIRES REPORTED FROM NEIGHBORING TOWNS
A cotton house at the Hill gin at Trenton was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon.  The building contained about 125 bales of seed cotton, most of which will be a total loss.
It is reported that the cotton house at the Bells gin was destroyed Wednesday afternoon.  About 75 bales of seed cotton were stored in the building.
The third gin fire report reaching Whitewright Wednesday came from Westminster, where a cotton house and 50 bales of seed cotton were reported to have been destroyed.
It was also reported that a school building at Randolph burned Wednesday afternoon, and that Bonham lost 3 residences Wednesday night.


FIRE TAKES TOLL OF $33,000 AT HOWE
The lumber yard of Galbraith-Foxworth Company at Howe was destroyed by fire Monday morning starting at 10:30 o'clock.
Three residences were also destroyed.  Two of them belonged to Mrs. J.A. Hughes of Sherman.  The other belonged to the lumber company.
The loss on the lumber yard was $25,000, covered by insurance.  Mrs. Hughes carried insurance on both her houses, the exact amount of which is unknown.  The loss onthe houses is estimated at $2,000 each. One of them was occupied by W.A. Callahan, who lost his household goods.  He sustained a loss of $1,500 with $1,000 insurance.  The other was occupied by Kerney Sweat, who lost furniture and household goods to the amount of $1,500 with $1,000 insurance.
The house belonging to the lumber company was occupied by F.J. Martin.  The loss on his furniture was $1,000, with no insurance.
The fire started in the lumber yard, but it is not known what caused it.
