Arnold E. Guderian

Arnold E. Guderian, b March 16, 1903 in Falls County, Texas, d July 14, 1980 and buried in the Tull - Guderian Family Burying Ground at Satin - was a son of Gus J. and Emma (Wittner) Guderian, natives of Germany.

On December 3, 1924, Arnold was married to Pearl Wynn, b June 30, 1905, lives in Satin in 1986. Arnold was a farmer in the Satin Area, and active in the school and community affairs. Pearl began a career of teaching in 1943, and obtained her B.A. degree in 1953 at Texas Women's University in Denton. She was employed by the Robinson Independent School District, where she reestablished the "phonics" method of teaching. Pearl retired to her in Satin in 1975, but is still active in community affairs. In 1984, she was named a Notable Woman of Texas.

Arnold and Pearl were the parents of two children:

Nell Wynn Guderian, b December 24, 1927 at Satin - married August 22, 1949 in Falls County to Hollie L. Tull, b January 2, 1926 in Falls County, Texas, d September 14,1974 and buried in the Family Burying Ground at Satin - a son of H. H. and Mabel Tull, who reside in Satin. His death was the result of a gunshot wound received while on duty as a police officer. Nell Wynn resides in the they had built at Satin. Their two daughters are: Bethelline Tull, b December 3, 1954 in Falls County, Texas who resides in Bryan, Texas; and Patsy Tull, b June 22, 1956, who lives in Waco, Texas.

Maynard Guderian, b December 25, 1929 - married August 9, 1958 to Ruth Ann Olsen, b December 3, 1939. They have: Lisa Lynn Guderian, b May 27, 1959; Timothy Arnold Guderiap, b September 6, 1960; and Todd Gordon Guderian, b June 10, 1963.
