Edmond Edwin Curd

Edmond Edwin Curd, b August 8,1848 in Kentucky, d November 13, 1931 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin - was a son of William Curd, of Kentucky, and came to Falls County, Texas in 1907 - settling on Blue Ridge. He had married in Kentucky to Georgia Bowman, b February 7, 1862 in Kentucky, d February 26, 1938 in Marlin, Texas, and buried by her husband in Calvary Cemetery - a daughter of J. W. Bowman, of Kentucky. Edmond E. was a farmer, and was engaged in agricultural pursuits all his life.

There are three identified children of Edmond Edwin and Georgia (Bowman) Curd:

Martha Curd (Called "Patsy" and "Pattie") - who married first in Kentucky to Orlando Powers, and had a son, Herschel Richard Powers, b November 30, 1903 in Kentucky, who married Arrilla Cobb, b March 4, 1905 in Falls County, Texas. She married second to S. H. Barnett, and they had Hardy Barnett, who married Addie Allen.

Lillian Mae Curd, b September 23, 1890 in Kentucky, d December 25, 1975 and buried in Hillcrest Cemetery at Marlin - married William Walter Garrett, b August 24, 1883 at Stranger, Falls County, Texas, d September 8, 1968 and buried in Hillcrest Cemetery - a son of Thomas Henry and Mary Ella (Roberts) Garrett. They had three children: Euleta Garrett, born and died January 1917 and buried in Big Hill Cemetery, Limestone County, Texas; Frances Garrett, b May 17, 1918 - married Edward Lawton Anderson; and Mildred Garrett, b February 2, 1920 who married Howard Ponder.

Creed Penick Curd, b November 25, 1891 in Kentucky, d September 15, 1943 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin - married Dovie Brown, b February 17, 1893, d February 15, 1977 and buried in Calvary Cemetery - a daughter of Reuben A. and Queen Victoria (Kay) Brown. They had four children.
