From 1905 until his death, Dan was a business man, a farmer, and a rancher - observing Rosebud develop from a town of many saloons, muddy streets, and no street lighting to a modern community and a comfortable place to live and rear a family. In the early 1920's he was manager for the Farmers Gin Company, owned by his father, George Washington CLARK, Jr., and a brother, Isaac Cass CLARK.

All his life, Mr. Clark was interested in education, and served on the Rosebud Independent School District Board. He was a faithful member of the Methodist Church, and taught a young men s Bible Class for many years.
