Harris Kay Brothers (called Pat), b January 17, 1888 at Stranger in Falls County, Texas, d July 22, 1953 and buried in Stranger Cemetery - was a son of Jesse Barzilla and Laura (Hufstetler) Brothers. On January 22, 1908, in Falls County, "Pat" married Jeannie Cobb, b March 20, 1888, in Blue Ridge, Falls County, Texas, d February 16, 1951, and buried in Stranger Cemetery - a daughter of Robert Long and Arrilla (Millerman) Cobb.

Pat and Jeannie were the parents of five children:
Frances Brothers, b 1909 - married J. E. ("Alec") Alexander, and adopted a daughter, Jo Alexander. They reside in Ennis, Texas.

William Noland Brothers, b November 19, 1910, d March 16, 1962, and buried in Stranger Cemetery by his parents. He was never married, and was called "Buster." During World War II, he served as PFC, 212 Armed Field Artillery Battalion.

Jesse A. Brothers, b November 10, 1912, d April 6, 1983, in Cove, Arkansas and buried in Stranger Cemetery.

Harris Cobb Brothers (called "Cobb"), b 1919 at Stranger, d October 14, 1984 and buried in Restwood Memorial Park in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas - married Mildred Elizabeth Harlan - a daughter of Earl and Helen Mae (Higgins) Harlan of Blue Ridge, and had four children: Barbara Kay Brothers who married Philip Warren Dryman; Frances Sue Brothers who married Glen Rich and had Elizabeth ("Beth") Rich, Edward Glen ("Trace") Rich III; Amy Lorraine Brothers; who married second to Charley Code; Harris Cobb BrothersJr., ("Butch") who married in 1970 to Shirley Dill and had Michael Anne and Megan Donnell Brothers; and Cynthia Lou Brothers who married first to Don Porter and had Jennifer Porter, married second to Norman Rollo and had Cody Rollo, married third to Russell Pancoast and had not issue, and married forth to Billy Webster and has Emily Webster, b 1983. Cobb was a veteran of World War II, and worked as an operator and member of the International Union of Local Operating Engineers Local 564 until his retirement from Dow Chemical Company in 1982. They reside in Clute, Texas, and Mildred (Harlan) Brothers serves as a City Councilwoman.

Henry L. Brothers (called "Bunk"), b September 28, 1921, d December 2, 1966 and buried in Stranger Cemetery - served in World War II as a Staff Sergeant, U. S. Air Force.

Harris Kay Brothers - "Mr. Pat" - was a talented carpenter, and did some farming. He always had a good garden. During World War II, Mr. Pat and Miss Jeannie moved to Mission, Texas, where he worked in construction which was so badly needed after for military activities. They resettled in Stranger after the war, where they both died. Their church affiliation was in a Stranger Church.
