William B. Boyd SURNAMES: BOYD, CONWAY, JONES, MITCHELL, BRANNON, SMITH

William B. Boyd, b April 2, 1811 in South Carolina, d July 24, 1884 in Falls County, Texas and buried in Union Cemetery - married about 1837 to Grace Conway, b June 13, 1813 in South Carolina, d October 23, 1896 at Durango, Falls County, Texas - a daughter of John T. Conway, of South Carolina. After their marriage, William B. and Grace moved to Pickens County, Alabama, and then to Noxumbee County, Mississippi by the 1840's.

When some of their children moved to Falls County, Texas in 1872, William B. and his wife, Grace, and a son, Jasper M. Boyd, settled in Anderson County, Texas, where they were living in 1880. Later, William and Grace also moved to Durango, Falls County, to be near their other children.

William B. and Grace (Conway) Boyd were the parents of six children:
Elizabeth Ann Boyd, b 1838 in Alabama - married January 4,1855 in Noxumbee County, Mississippi to Robert J. Jones.

Eliza L. Boyd, b 1840 - married July 28, 1859 to Robert Conway.

John T. Boyd, b 1845 in Mississippi - married May 12, 1870 in Mississippi to Margaret C. Mitchell.

William James Boyd, b March 27, 1847, d January 1932 and buried in Union Cemetery at Durango, Falls County, Texas - married first to Elizabeth Brannon; married second to Martha J. Brannon. Moved to Falls County before his parents.

Jasper M. Boyd, b 1853, in Mississippi - was unmarried in 1880, and was residing in Anderson County, Texas with his parents.

Mary Jane Boyd, b 1856 in Mississippi - married in Falls County, Texas on December 23, 1873 to W. C. Smith, and moved to Haskell, Texas.
