Edgar Clinton Aldredge, b November 25, 1922 in Many, Louisiana--was a son of Henry Edgqar and Nora (Simpson) Aldredge, he was one of five sons and one daughter. Edgar graduated form Ouchita Parish High School in Monroe, Louisana in 1838, attended Bish-Mathis Business Institute in Monroe, and worked fro several years in Bastrop, Louisana, and Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in the wholesale grocery businerss. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946, and then studied his pre-dental courses at Loyola University in Los Angles, California, and at UCLA. He entered Baylor University College of Denistry, and 1949, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery--graduating with ighest honors, and was awarded the Baylor University College of Denistry Honots Gold Medalfor achievement.

Edgar Clinton Aldredge (called "Jack") was married JUly 30, 1944 in Corsicana, Navarro County,Texas to Jo Lynne Morgan--a daughter of Lindsey C. and Ethelda (Hamrick) Morgan, of Corsicana; and they have two sons:

Jogn Clinton Aldredge, b February 15, 1946 in Grass Valley, California, who married Story Gale Newsome of Abilene, Texas,

Stephen Morgan Aldredge, b October 14, 1950 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas--who married Patsy Ann Holloway, and have a daughter, Stacy Ann ALdredge.

Dr. and Mrs. Aldredge are members of the First Prebyterian Church in Marlin, where he is ruling elder and a Trustee. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, a director and past vice-president of the Marlin Chamber of Commece, a member and past-president of Matlin Rotary Club, and a member and past-president of Marlin Country Club. He has located his practice of dentistry on Church Street since 1949, when he settled his family in Marlin. He served on the Marlin School Board as a trustee for elven years, and was the board's president for two of those years.

Dr. Aldredge is a member of The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, and The Central Texas, Dental Society. He has served as president of the Central Texas Dental group, and on various other dental committees. In 1976, he was a member of the Central Texas Dental Peer Review Committee. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society, and the Psi Omega Fraternity.

The Aldredge family continues to reside in Marlin.
