Joseph Adams, b August 10, 1860 in Austria, when the surname was "Adam", d December 10, 1920 in Cameron, Milam County, Texas and was buried in the Phillips Cemetery at Travis, Falls County, Texas. He came to the United States in 1879, arriving in Galveston, Texas, then settled in Washington County, Texas where he married on April 2, 1888 to Mary Guzner, b November 26, 1868 in Austria, d at Travis, Falls County, Texas on April 13, 1943 - was a daughter of Martin and Johanna (Damel) Guzner, who had come to the United States in 1873. Joseph and Mary Adams lived in Milam County until 1908 when they moved to Falls County. Their children were:

Frank Adams, b August 7, 1890 in Morak, Milam County, Texas, d July 17, 1962, married Colista Erwin.

Steve Adams, b in February 1893 in Morak, Milam County, Texas, d June 10, 1982, married Nell Amerine.

Rudolph J. Adams, b in October 1896 in Milam County, Texas, d October 19, 1982, married on July 20, 1918 to Leedy Koppa.

Robert J. Adams, b October 1896 in Milam County, Texas, d January 13, 1962, married on August 19, 1920 to Annie Lee Asbury.

Elizabeth Adams, b September 6, 1898 in Milan County, Texas, d January 16,1971, married July 27, 1922 to Henry Ernst.

Mary Adams, b July 8, 1901 in Milan County, Texas, d May 11, 1944, married November 10,1924 to Edwin G. Pomykal.

Emil Adams, b March 8, 1903 in Milan County, Texas, d September 14, 1961, married August 14, 1924 to Ruby Johns.

Edward "Fritz" Adams, b October 5, Milan County, Texas, died unmarried on January 19,1935.

Willie Adams, b August 15, 1906 in Milam County, Texas married Lera Menefee.

Helen Evelyn Adams, b August 25, 1915 in Travis, Falls County, Texas married April 6, 1935 to Clifford Price.
