On February 20, 1924 in the St. Paul Community a few miles north of Marlin, Texas, Rudolf married Hulda Quandt b April 23, 1903 in Warrenton, Fayette County, Texas, d January 23, 1939 and buried in St. Paul Cemetery -- a daughter of William and Maria (Lemke) Quandt who brought their family to Falls County in 1914.

Rudolf Adolf and Hulda (Quandt) Abel were the parents of four children -- all born in Falls County, Texas:

Elsie Marie Abel, b January 12, 1925--married November 19,1947 in Marlin, Texas to John Arthur Niemeyer, Jr., b June 4, 1925 in Wiemar, Texas -- a son of John Arthur and Martha (Locke) Niemeyer. They were the parents of five children.

Lorene Abel, b April 9, 1927--married December 17, 1952 in Marlin, Texas to Theodore Daniel Rudolph Emil Neumann, b January 30, 1918 in Falls County -- a son of Robert and Clara (Drews) Neumann. They had four children.

Arthur Ruben Abel, b December 10,1929 -- married June 5, 1955 in the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church in Falls County, Texas, to Margaret Dorothy Posster, b June 15, 1936 -- a daughter of Herman Emil and Rosella Sophie Annie (Grube) Polster. They had one daughter.

Helen Abel, b May 12, 1936 -- married December 27, 1957 in the St. Paul United Church of Christ (formerly the Evangelical and Reformed Church) in Falls County, Texas to William Charles Habel, b August 14, 1933 in Mooreville, Falls County, Texas -- a son of Charles and Lillie (Koerth) Habel. They are the parents of two sons.

Rudolf and Hulda were members of the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church in the St. Paul Community of Falls County.
