Forward

We, the STUDENT VOICE STAFF, submit this, the 1922 Annual for your final inspection. It has been our aim to reflect in its pages the spirit of dear old Marlin High, its joys and its sorrows. We offer no apology for the attempt, for if one of its pages reflects a smile or brings to mind a fond remembrance of the year, we feel we have to that degree accomplished our purpose. We trust that this volume may be a prophecy of the bigger, better Marlin High that is yet to be. May it bring back fond memories of their first Alma Mater.

The Staff wishes to acknowledge its indebtedness to Thruston Torbett, Marlin, and Arthur Threadgill of A. and M. for the art work so kindly contributed.

These firms and companies patronize us to the extent of giving us advertisements - the least the students of Marlin Hi can do is to return this favor by patronizing them liberally.

Many of these ads have names in them, so don't pass them up thinking they are just business ads. Some pages have more than one ad on them. -kc
