MRS. J. F. ZAK OF BRYAN, A FORMER MARLINITE DIES

Mrs. Joseph F. Zak, age 73, died in a Bryan hospital at 10 p.m. Friday, February 24, 1950, following a lingering illness. She was born at Round Rock, Texas, December 5, 1876.

The deceased was a former Marlinite. She was the second wife of the late Walter Nettles of Marlin. Mr. Nettles died here about eight years ago. After his death, his widow married Mr. Zak who is a carpenter and the couple have made their in Bryan. The deceased lived in Marlin about 10 or 12 years prior to going to Houston.

The remains were brought to the Adams Funeral in Marlin for funeral arrangements. The body being taken Sunday to the Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan for last rites at 3 p.m. Sunday. Burial in the Hearne cemetery.

Surviving are her husband at Bryan. A son Jewell H. Morgan, Bryan. A sister Mrs. Tobe Curlee of Sour Lake. Also nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
