Shot Gun Used---Two Shots Fired---
Toliver in Jail.
-----

Aron Watley is dead and John Toliver is in jail charged with the killing.  Watley is the father-in-law of Toliver and domestic troubles contributed to the cause of the killing.  Both are negroes.
The killing occurred on the Gill farm near Otto about nine o'clock Friday.
There had been trouble before.  Toliver's wife brought suit for divorce three weeks ago and asked for a division of property.  Watley and Toliver became wrathy (sic) at each other and Toliver got the worst of a fight between them.  The report is that Watley went over to Toliver's house Friday and the trouble was renewed.  Toliver began shooting and Watley began running.  When the second shot was fired Watley fell and an open knife was found near him.
Toliver was brought to Marlin at 1:40 o'clock by Deputy Sheriff T. J. Adams and George Gill and placed in jail.
