Robert G. (Bob) Walts

     Robert G. (Bob) Walts of Waco, a welder and machinist, died Sunday at his home.  He was 54.

     Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilkerson-Hatch Funeral Chapel, Minister Travis Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Criswell Cemetery in Falls County.  Mr. Walts was born December 19, 1936, in Limestone County near Groesbeck, where he was reared and attended school.  He also lived in China Spring before moving to Waco, where he lived most of his life.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and married Peggy Garrett August 2, 1957, in Groesbeck.

     Mr. Walts was a welder and machinist for many years.  He was a welding supervisor at K-D Manitou Corp. for 16 years, and was also employed at Alamo Tool and Machine.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, AMVETS Post No. 41 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

     Survivors include his wife; his mother, Ola Fay Walts of Waco; two daughters, Debbie L. Nelson of Waco and Fay Wisniewski  of Sulphur Springs; four sons, Glen Walts, Jimmy Walts, Ronnie Walts and John Walts, all of Waco; two brothers, Don Walts of China Spring and John Walts of Waco; and eight grandchildren.  The family will be at 4400 N. 19th St., Apt. 312.

     The family has designated for memorials Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
