Artie Walts



     Artie Walts, 91, of Mart passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Littlepage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Criswell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

     Survivors include her sons, Gene and wife, Ann Stone of Waco, Nelson and wife, Debra Stone of Cameron; daughter, Vernell Mills of Mart; stepson, Joe Walts of San Antonio; and stepdaughter, Laura Hefelfinger of New Camey.

Artie Walts



     Artie Walts, 91, of Mart passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, in a Mart nursing home. Services were held Monday at Littlepage Funeral with the Rev. Aaron Young officiating. Burial followed at Criswell Cemetery.
     
     On June 7, 1915, Mrs. Walts was born to S. I. and Ida Myrtle Cotten in Rockdale, Texas.  She was married to Joe Alva Walts, who preceded her in death on November 25, 1993.  Mrs. Walts was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mart.

     Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Ann Stone of Waco and Nelson and Debra Stone of Cameron; her daughter Vernell Mills of Mart; her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Joe and Mel Walts of San Antonio; her stepdaughter Laura Hefelfinger of New Camey; her sisters, Lela Kerley of Mexia and Mabel Loesch of Lansing, Michigan; her grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.

     Pallbearers were Todd Mills, Rickey Mills, Larry Stone, Clent Riggs, Mike Hefelfinger, and Mack Kerley.
