Abel Willis

     The death of Abel Willis, an old and highly respected citizen of Falls county, occurred Saturday at the of his brother, A. H. Willis near Belfalls following a six weeks illness.  Deceased was a native of New York City where he was born in 1853, coming to Texas in 1893 and settling near Belfalls, making his in the family of his brother.  He was highly regarded by all who knew him and was a high type of citizen, one whose loss can ?ill be spared.  Surviving are two brothers, A. H. Willis of Belfalls and S. B. Willis of New York City, also a sister, Mrs. Katerhine Higgins.  In addition a large circle of nieces and nephews survive.  Funeral services were conducted yesterday with interment in Theo cemetery, Rev Davis officiating.
