Alfred Lee “Slim” Wetzel

June 6, 1934 - May 29, 2007

     Alfred Lee (Slim) Wetzel, 72, of Rosebud, died on May 29, 2007, near Rosebud. Graveside services were held at Friday in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating.

     Mr. Wetzel was born June 6, 1934 in Rosebud to Henry Richard and Luvinia Edwards Wetzel. He lived in Falls County all of his life except while serving in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He was a bulldozer operator and farmer for many years. He loved the outdoors and his many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his sister, Ida Kluck and a bother, John Henry Wetzel.

     Survivors include one brother, David Wetzel of Riesel and two sisters, Henrietta Hebert of Groves and Evelina Wetzel of Arlington.

     Visitation was held last Thursday at Cook-Gerngross-Patterson Funeral in Rosebud.
