DEATH CLAIMS FATHER OF
MARLIN MAN AT AUSTIN

Funeral Services to be Conducted at
Blanco With Burial in
Cemetery There

J. I. West of Austin, age 76, father of Rev. Ben West of Marlin, died at his early today, a message received in Marlin stated.  He had been ill about two months, his demise being attributed to heart trouble.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mesdames Dulcie Crossley and Tom Sparks of Blanco, and one son, Rev. West of Marlin.

Funeral services will be held at Blanco, where deceased was engaged in farming and ranching pursuits for years, with burial in cemetery there.

In tribute to his father today, Rev. West said "he was the only bosom friend and 'pal' I ever had," adding that he never heard his father use a word of any kind that couldn't properly he used in a pulpit.
