Mass of Christian burial will be held for Joe F. Swick, 87, of Marlin, Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bremond.  Rev. Joseph Mushual and Rev. Peter Royal officiated.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bremond.

Mr. Swick, born July 10, 1911 in Bremond, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Falls Community Hospital.

The son of Mike and Elizabeth Sybest Swick, was retired from Armour Company where he was a butcher.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in WWII.  He was a member of the SP.IST Lodge #154 in Ft. Worth, a member of the DAV and Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marlin.  He and Evelyn Bulgawicz were married November 11, 1941 in San Antonio.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn, of Marlin; sisters, Christine Williams, Houston; and Lillie Krout, Alexandria, Virginia.

Pallbearers were nephews.
      
Adams Funeral of Marlin was in charge of arrangements.
