Grace Stone

     Grace Stone, 93, of Mart passed away on Saturday, March 13, 1999, at a Mart nursing home.  Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, at the Mart Church of Christ.  Richard Williams, minister, and Travis Smith, minister, officiated.  Burial followed at Criswell Cemetery.

     Mrs. Stone was born Dec. 31, 1905, in Henrietta, Okla.  She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Mart Church of Christ.  She and Robert “Bob” Cecil Stone were married March 5, 1925, in Marlin.  He preceded her in death in 1975.  She was also preceded in death by a son, James Robert Stone, in March 1997.

     Mrs. Stone is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George H. and Symonetta Stone of Mart; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Paul Woolverton of Mart; a daughter-in-law, Lois Stone of Taylor, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Molly Zucknick and her husband Steve, Robert Dale Stone, Jamie Kaatz and her husband David, all of Taylor, Debbie Fluitt and her husband Jackey of Grapevine, Sue Woolverton of Austin, Mike Woolverton of Killeen, Judy Woolverton of Mart, Lana Stone of Austin, Kendall Stone and his wife Susan of Tokio, and David Stone of Dallas; and seven great-grandchildren.
