Aubrey B. Stone, age 67, of Marlin, entered into rest Sunday, June 29, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Adams Funeral chapel with James Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Criswell cemetery. A visitation will be held at Adams Funeral on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Stone was born March 28, 1941 in Little Elm Community in Limestone County to William and Mina Mae Ray Stone. His family then moved to Falls County in 1942. He attended elementary school at Criswell and McClanahan. Mr. Stone graduated from Marlin High School in 1959 and then attended Sam Houston State University. He married Janet J. Price May 18, 1961 in Madisonville, Texas. Aubrey worked for almost thirty years as a lab technician for U. S. Silica in Kosse, Texas. He spent his lifetime in Falls County farming and ranching. In addition to farming and ranching, he enjoyed gardening, barbequing, and playing dominoes. For several years he and his wife owned and raced horses.

His spouse preceded him in death on April 22, 2003. He was also preceded in death by parents and one brother, Conrad Stone.

Survivors include his daughters, Donna and husband Jes Scott of Marlin, Kim and husband Billy Sustaita of Dalhart; brothers, Winfred Stone of Waco, Keith Stone of Georgetown, Terry Stone of Georgetown; sisters, Jo Ann Milnes-Cohn of Marlin, Nelda Brown of Marlin; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
