Former Sheriff’s Posse

President Funeral Set

 

 

     Funeral for W. Todd Stewart, 66, of 1701 N. 13th St. in Temple, a charter member and former president of the Bell County Sheriff’s Posse, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church of Temple. The Rev. Joe DiPaola will officiate. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

 

     Mr. Stewart died Saturday after a heart attack. He was born in Cego in Falls County. He was a prominent rancher, farmer, and businessman in the Temple area.

 

     Mr. Stewart was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church and had served on the church’s vestry board. He served on the Temple Industrial Foundation and was a long-time member of the Temple Chamber of Commerce.

 

     Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elva Joe Stewart of Temple; daughter, Judith Ann Stewart of Golden, Colo.; sisters, Mrs. Alma Hale of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mrs. Maureen Killen of Waco; and brothers, Col. Lee L. Stewart of Temple, Grady Stewart of San Antonio, and Roy Wright of Temple.

 

     Harper-Talasek Funeral of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
