Betty Sue Osborn Stewart

March 17, 1934 - June 2, 2007

     Betty Sue Osborn Stewart, 73, of Marlin entered into rest on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Adams Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

     Mrs. Stewart was born in Marlin on March 17, 1934 to Sterling William and Bettie Pearl McCaulley Osborn. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marlin.

     She loved yard work, her flowers and feeding her wild birds. She cherished her family and friends and loved to entertain. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Red Hat Society and a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

     She married Leslie Stewart on Feb. 2, 1953 in Durant, Okla. and he preceded her in death in 1995. Also preceding her were her parents, a brother, William Earl Osborn and a niece, Laura Sue Osborn.

     The family suggests memorials be made to the Providence Hospice or the First United Methodist Church.

     Survivors include: daughter, Susie Barker and husband Ron of Marlin; son, David Stewart and wife Debbie of Marlin; grandchildren Dustin and Lisa Stewart of Waco, Melissa and Shannon Landy of Waco; great-grandchildren, Dusty and London Stewart and Cheyenne and Alannah Landy of Waco; and special friend, Clyde Nutt of Marlin

     Pallbearers are: Gene Brown, Randall Brown, Rob Douglas, Norman Erskine, Danny Meyer and Terry Nutt. Honorary Pallbearers are: Delores Leppe Alexander, Betty Childs Cunningham, Marilyn Hancock Duff, Helen Tomchesson Hays, Marjorie Ann Meyer Hickman, Phyllis Craven Kerbs, Sidney Ann Collins Kilgore.
