Aubrey Stewart

 

     FLOYDADA (Special) – Services for Aubrey Vivian Stewart, 94, of Floydada will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moore-Rose-White Memorial Chapel in Floydada, with the Rev. Ione Sedinger, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.

 

     Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home, Floydada.

 

     He died Saturday, May 2, 1998, in Lubbock’s St. Mary Hospital.

 

     He was born Aug. 9, 1903, in the Cego Community and attended school in Cego. He moved to Floydada in 1934. In 1936, he opened Stewart Cleaners. He retired in 1980.

 

     He married Ena Lea Fyffe in 1937. She died in December 1972. He married Jessie Leah Wilson Roberts in January 1974. She died April 22, 1994.

 

     He was a member of the Floydada Senior Citizens.

 

     Survivors include two brothers, Fred of Waco and Louis of Belton; two sisters, Lois Haddock of Temple and Audrey Lee McClure of Raytown, Mo.; three stepsons, Lyndell Roberts of Lubbock, Dale Roberts of McKinney and Ken Roberts of Richardson; one stepdaughter, Janis Julian of Floydada; 12 stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.

 

     The family suggests memorials to First Christian Church, 301 W. Missouri, Floydada 79235; to Floydada Senior Citizens, 301 E. Georgia, Floydada 79235; or to Lockney Care Center, 401 N. Main St., Lockney, 79241
