WELL KNOWN MAN EXPIRES

 

TOM STALLWORTH OF LOTT,

AGED 41 YEARS, DIES

IN MARLIN HOSPITAL

 

 

     The death of Tom Stallworth, aged 41 years, of Lott, occurred in a local hospital at two o’clock this afternoon. Deceased had been ill for some time with measles, complications resulting despite efforts to save his life by transfusion of blood from the body of his brother, S. J. Stallworth of Marlin.

 

     Surviving deceased are his wife and three children, two brothers, Sanford and Harry Stallworth of Marlin, two sisters, Mrs. M. C. Peyton of Marlin and Mrs. T. M. Phillips of Greenville.

 

     Born near Marlin in 1876, deceased had spent his entire life in this section. He was married to Miss Julia Curry. Mr. Stallworth was a member of the Presbyterian church at Lott. He was the possessor of many friends, among whom he was very highly regarded.

 

     The funeral will be held in Marlin at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning with services at the of Mrs. M. C. Peyton, to be conducted by Dr. J. E. James, interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
