LAMPASAS--Bailey S. Spivey, 91, of Waco and formerly of Lometa, died Tuesday, May 1, at a Waco care center.

     Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa with the Rev. John Quigley officiating.

     He was born in Blevins to Governor Spivey and Mary Williams Spivey. He was married to Viola Spivey and she preceded him in death in 1996. He was a member of Lometa First United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, VFW and American Legion.

     He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy in 1968.

     Survivors are a daughter, Barbara Belk of Waco; two brothers, Jake Spivey of Austin and Bill Spivey of Honeygrove; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

     Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas is in charge of arrangements.
