BERNELL SPINKS
July 29, 1938 - December 19, 2005

     Bernell Spinks, 67, of Crockett, Texas, passed away Monday, December 19, 2005 in the East Texas Medical Center in Crockett, Texas.  Funeral services were held Thursday, December 22, 2005 in the First Baptist Church in Crockett, Texas.  Rev. Keeney Dickenson officiated.  Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park.

     Mr. Spinks was born July 29, 1938 in Gorman and had lived in Crockett since 1969. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He had worked as a maintenance superintendent for First Baptist Church in Crockett and was also a member.

     His parents, Albert and Estalene Spinks, preceded him in death.

     He is survived by his wife, Janice Spinks of Crockett, Texas; his children, David and Judy Spinks of Marlin, Texas and Virgie Spinks of Crockett, Texas; his grandchildren, Bethany Burns of Marlin, Texas, Chelsea Gest, Kaitlyn Gest, and Joshua Gest all of Crockett, Texas; sister, Rita Herrmann and husband, Phil of Katy, Texas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Linda and Randall Jones of Houston, Texas; Mike and Annette Engle of Nacogdoches, Texas; La Edra Shaw of Nacogdoches, Texas; and Allen and Cindy Engle of Crockett, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Memorial Baptist Church in Marlin.

     Callaway-Allee Funeral in Crockett was in charge of the arrangements.
