Obituary--Kirby Carroll Sloan.
-----

Kirby Carroll Sloan, little son of Mr. and Mrs. W.P.A. Sloan, was born in Taylor, Texas, April 12, 1899, and died in Marlin, Texas, Sept. 8, 1907, aged 8 years, 5 months and 2 days.
Kirby was an unusually well matured child for one of his years.  His words would often indicate a mental advancement considerably beyond the average child.  His parents were his companions and they were always happy in his company.
During his illness he seemed to have a presentment that he would not get well.  Concious (sic) to the last he would talk calmly to his mother and father about dying, and there was every evidence that he trusted that Lord, who said:  "Suffer little children to come unto me."
His life was short, but no doubt it was according to God's plan and was not lived in vain.  May our Heavenly Father comfort the lonely and grief-stricken parents.
                                                                       A Friend.
