Former Resident of Cego
Section Dies At Houston

Body of Deceased Brought by Way
of Marlin to Former Home
For Burial.

 

     Mrs. Alice Shotwell, widow of the late W. P. Shotwell, died Sunday at Houston. She had been in ill health for some time.

 

     Deceased for many years was a resident of the Cego community, being a member of a well known family of that section of Falls county, but in recent years since the demise of her husband had spent most of the time at Houston. She was a member of the Baptist church.

 

     Surviving deceased are a daughter, Miss Callie Shotwell, Houston; and three sons, L. B. Shotwell, Dallas; W. M. (Boss) Shotwell, San Antonio; and J. B. Shotwell, Cego; also four grandchildren.

 

     The body was due in Marlin on the northbound Missouri Pacific passenger train this afternoon en route to Cego for burial.

 

     Funeral services were announced for three o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Cego with burial following in the Cego cemetery.
