Walter Adams Glockzin, 44, affectionately nicknamed "Waltee" and or "Uncle Wally," of LaPorte, entered into rest Monday, July 23, 2007.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Adams Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Thomas Q. Robbins officiating. Burial followed at Calvary cemetery. Visitation was 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Adams Funeral Home.

Born February 16, 1963 in Marlin to James W. and Lucy Ann Glockzin, Wally was a member of the First United Methodist Church. "Uncle Wally" was a fantastic person. He was smart, funny, loving and a great brother, son, and uncle. He expressed his faith in his creator and in return his creator blessed him. Uncle Wally loved his country; he was extremely patriotic and always ready for a little politics.

We know, as family and friends, that Waltee loved us: Jimbo, Lucy, Don, Sarah, Ben, Brenda, Jim, Christine, Francis, Laura, Ryan, Matthew, Lauryn, Hanna, Madison, Alison, Abigail, and his loving dog "Baby Girl". He had some devoted childhood friends whom he loved and treasured their memories and friendships. Uncle Wally will be missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include: mother, Lucy Ann Glockzin of Marlin; brothers, Don W. and wife Brenda Glockzin of Huffman, Ben and wife Christine Glockzin of Carrollton; sister, Sarah A. and husband Jim Campbell of Marlin; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 411 Coleman St. Marlin, Texas 76661.
