Mrs. Garrett Dies in Marlin;

Services Today

 

 

     MARLIN (SPL) – Mrs. L. L. Garrett, 87, of Marlin, mother of a Wacoan, died at 6:15 a.m. Monday in a Marlin hospital.

 

     Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Adams Chapel in Marlin with Rev. Felix Keys officiating. Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery at Stranger.

 

     Mrs. Garrett was the former Miss Lucy C. Hardgrove. She was born Oct. 21, 1881, in Alabama. She married L. L. Garrett at Stranger. Mr. Garrett was a farmer. He died Nov. 12, 1957. Mrs. Garrett has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marlin since 1958.

 

     Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Garrett of Marlin, Glen Garrett of Stranger and James Garrett of Alta Loma; four daughters, Mrs. Bernard Stewart of Waco, Mrs. Jim Wakefield of Abilene, Mrs. Warren C. Ihrke of Houston and Mrs. J. M. Fitte of Marlin; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
