Maximina "China" Chavez Gamboa

 

 
     China was the daughter of Frank and Senobia (DeLeon) Chavez. She was a lifetime resident of Marlin. She had been a member of Santa Maria Del Pilar and St. Joseph's Catholic Churches in Marlin. She was also a Guadalupana member. China will always be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother, a great cook, and a person with a green thumb in caring for her flowers and her large doll collection.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jesse.

     Survivors include her sons, Manuel Alaman and wife, Mary, of Bryan, Sam Alaman and wife, Lupe, of Marlin, John Robert Alaman and wife, Suzie, of Spring, and Larry Alaman and wife, Suzanne, of Spring; daughters, Jen Ramirez and husband, Ben, of Hewitt, Gloria Rosas and husband, Pete, of Waco, and Rose Williams, of Marlin; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
