Frank Futschik Funeral Held Here Tuesday Morning

 

            Frank Futschik, born February 6, 1878, in Germany, passed away at his in the Briary community, Monday, January 21, 1935.  Funeral services were held from St. Ann’s church, Rosebud, Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, with Father O’Sullivan, pastor at Rosebud and Burlington, officiating.  Interment followed in the Woodland cemetery, Rosebud.

 

The deceased is survived by his widow, and five children, three boys, Adolph of Hobson, August of Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, and Jake Futschik of Rosebud, Texas, and two daughters, Mrs. John Bludau of San Antonio, and Miss Mary Futschik of Rosebud.  One sister, Mrs. Amelia Walzel, of Germany, also survives him.

 

Mr. Futschik came to America when he was seventeen years of age, settling at Schulenberg, Texas.  He married Miss Antonia Hass[sic] at Weimar.  Mr. and Mrs. Futschik moved to this territory in December 1927, and have made many friends in the Briary community.

 

Deceased was a member of the Catholic church.
