Aged Lady Expires In Of Son At Odds

Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Eaves Occurs After Illness of Only Few Hours.



     The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Eaves, aged 83 years, occurred suddenly at the of her son, A. J. Eaves, at Odds about 11 o’clock Thursday morning, deceased having been stricken ill only a few hours before she expired.

     Deceased was born in Alabama, November 13, 1833, having resided at the place of her death for the past 20 years.  Her husband is dead, but she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. H. Steele and Miss Lucindy Eaves, and one son, A. J. Eaves, all of Odds.

     The funeral was held at four o’clock this afternoon at the Criswell cemetery near Odds, following services at the of the daughter of the deceased, Mrs. R. H. Steele, conducted by Rev. Kane of Waco, a pastor of the Baptist church, of which deceased had long been a member.
