LAWRENCE W. DIETERICH JR.
January 15, 1965 - January 9, 2006

 

     Lawrence W. Dieterich Jr., of Mart, Falls Co., Texas passed away Monday, January 9, 2006. Services were held Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Riesel with Pastor Robert Kitson officiating. Burial followed at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

     Mr. Dieterich, born January 15, 1965,in Marlin, was the son of Lawrence and Myrtle Dieterich. A lifelong resident of Falls County, he was educated in the Mart schools and was a 1983 graduate of Mart High School, where he participated in football, baseball and track. After graduating from high school, he attended MCC and McMurray College where he played football for two years. On August 1, 1987, he and Rhonda Wilson were married for 17 years.   L. W. worked at Wallace Computer Services in Marlin.  The last three years, he owned and operated a landscaping business. For many years, he was also involved with his ranching business.

     L. W. was devoted to his family, his friends, and his community.  An avid Mart Panther fan, he enthusiastically supported Mart athletics. For 10 years, he served a manager and coach of Mart Youth Baseball.  A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, he served his church in various positions.

     His father, Lawrence Dieterich, and his brother-in-law, Randy Wilson, preceded him in death.

     He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Dieterich, of Mart, Texas; his sons, Trey Dieterich and Tyler Dieterich, of Mart, Texas; his mother, Myrtle Dieterich of Otto, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Betty Dieterich of Paris, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Maurice Yezak of Bremond, Texas; his nieces, Lauren Yezak and Kelli Ryans; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tom and Elizabeth Wilson, of Waco, Texas; his nephews, Kurt Dieterich, Aaron Dieterich, and Joseph Yezak.

     Pallbearers were Ronald Vanous, Doug Matthys, Norman, Hopplin, Donnie Hall, Bill Lacher, and Billy Howwell.

     Littlepage Funeral of Mart was in charge of arrangements.

     In lieu of flowers, two memorial funds for him have been established at Enterprise Bank in Mart, Falls Co., Texas.  Memorials may be made there for either the Dieterich College Fund for his sons or to the L. W. Dieterich Memorial Scholarship Fund at Enterprise Bank, P. O. Box 119, Mart, Texas 76664.
