Corinne Patterson Delleney

April 13, 1920 - February 7, 2009

Corinne Patterson Delleney, age 88, of San Antonio, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at St. John's Methodist Church, 2002 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78228.

Corinne was born April 13, 1920 to Carson Patterson and wife, Jewell Coleman Patterson.

At an early age, Corinne married Ned Bullock Delleney. Due to their youth, friends and family members said, "It will never last," but last it did, for 56 years, until Ned's death in 1994.

Though Corinne spent some 30 years in the work force, her first and foremost love was given to her family and children. Nothing seemed to make her happier than having all the children in for holidays and special occasions. It never got too crowded in the kitchen. The more the merrier.

Two sons, Nat Delleney and Ned Blake Delleney, preceded Corinne in death.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Lana Harper and husband, Ernie of Buda, Texas, Patricia Gilroy and husband, Michael of Spring Branch, Texas.

Also surviving are daughters-in-law Rose Delleney and Marilyn Delleney; a brother, Glenn Patterson of Livingston, Texas; a sister, Iris Danklefs of Garwood; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Corinne was manager of the S&H Green Stamp stores in Harlingen and San Antonio for over 20 years. While still working for S&H, she took on the additional position of administrative director of Ballet Arts School in the late 1970's and early 1980's while her daughter was still artistic director of the School.

The family would like to express our deep and sincerest gratitude to DaVita Dialysis Clinic and the Methodist Transplant Hospital dialysis nurses and medical staff, and to her doctors, Dr. James Vosberg, Nephrologist Dr. John Reineck, Dr. Robert Saad, Dr. Edward Wolfe, Dr. Robert Mueller, Dr. Clifford Sarnacki, and Dr. Kiram Jayaram.

In addition, our thanks to All Care staff, especially to Angel and Diana. In her final days, we were grateful to Vistas Hospice Care, and to Rosa and Maria, her special angels. Without their professionalism, their tender, loving care we would not have been able to share these last five years with our beautiful Corinne Delleney. We also express our appreciation for her many friends and staff at Madison Retirement Community.

Donations may be made in her name to St. John's Methodist Church or The National Kidney Foundation.

Adams Funeral in Marlin was in charge of arrangements.
