RUBY DUDLEY

August 3, 1934 – October 29, 2005



     Ruby Harrison Dudley, 71, a native of Lott, Texas died Saturday the 29th day of October at her in Waco after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 in Waco at the Oak Crest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rosemound Cemetery in Waco with Pastor David Booker officiating.

     She was born in Lott, Falls Co., Texas on August 3, 1934 to Bill and May (Reeves) Harrison, and has lived in the central Texas area for her entire life. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out. She loved her husband and all of her family and friends dearly, and was known by her grandchildren as Nana Ruby. It is her time now to go and be with the Lord and she will be truly missed. She was such an inspiration and the ones that knew her were truly blessed.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deana Culpepper; and brother, Howard Harrison.

     Ruby is survived by her husband, Finis R. Dudley; daughter, Jo Rountree and husband, Gordon Jr. of Cedar Springs, Texas; daughter, Darlene Steele and husband, Curtis of Mt. Calm, Texas; step daughter, Pam Emerson and husband, Scott of Austin, Texas; Step daughter, Linda Standley and husband, Ron of Madisonville, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Curtis Ray Steele, Jamie Steele, Travis Neumann, Trent Neumann, Jason Pruett, Brandie Black and husband, Ron, Nick Standley, Scott Rountree and wife, Sharon, Ross Rountree and wife, Jennifer; and her great grandchildren Cody Pruett, Emma Black, Olivia Rountree and Grace Rountree; four sisters, Doris Weems of Whitesboro, Texas, Florine Hallmark of Euless, Jo Ann Skala of Clarkson,Texas, and Wanda Burnett and husband, Charles of Bryan; brothers, Jimmy Harrison and wife, Shirley of Rosebud, Texas and Billy Jack Harrison and wife, Sue of Lake Limestone, Texas; sister-in-law, Miram Harrison of Groesbeck, Texas area, and many nieces and nephews.

     Pallbearers will be Travis Neumann, Trent Neumann, Jason Pruett, Nick Standley, Curtis Steele, Jamie Steele.
