     Mattie Douglas

     Mrs. Mattie Douglas, a long time Marlin resident, died in a Houston hospital Monday.

     Services were at 11:a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Baptist Church, the Rev. William Kenney officiating. Burial followed in Washington Cemetery in the St. Paul Community.

     Survivors include two daughters, Mamie Anderson of Altadena, Calif. and Margaret King of Lubbock; one son, J. B. Jackson of Marlin; one sister, Maggie Shorter of Marlin; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
