Hal Thomas Curry
May 18, 1944 - April 25, 2008

     Hal Thomas Curry, age 63, of the Kosse-Bremond area, entered into rest Friday, April 25, 2008 at Lufkin Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, TX.

     Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bremond Ritter Funeral Home, Highway 14, Bremond.

     Hal was born in Temple on May 18, 1944. He attended public school in Reagan and Marlin, graduating from Bremond High School in 1962. His career included agent for Combined American Insurance Company for the North and Central Texas districts; X-ray tech for General American Tank Car Corporation, Hearne; instructor-teacher for American Truck Driving School, Waco; as well as a farmer and rancher in Falls County.

     Hal is survived by his children, Nathan Lee Curry and fiancée Jana Cobb of Beaumont, Heath Thomas Curry and wife Stacy (Aldredge) and grandchildren Maenzie Chey'Anne, Makayla Lynne and Maggie Suzanne of Bremond, Anthony Wayne Curry and wife Jana Elaine (Wells) and grandchildren Nathan James Carrigan, Alexis Dawn and Thomas Lee of Bremond; his ex-wife and mother of his three sons, Maria Sessums Curry of Marlin.

     Also surviving Hal are his brother Charles Kelly Curry of Richmond, Virginia and Nancy (Curry) Bussell of Bryan; nieces Suzanne (Curry) Sherry and Andrea (Curry) Braswell of Richmond, Virginia; special friends, Diane and Cindy Timon of Lufkin, as well as a host of lifelong friends from all areas of Texas.

     Preceding Hal in death were his parents, Willard Curry of Alto Springs Community in, Falls County; Sally Kelly Curry of the Blue Ridge community in Falls County; his grandparents, also of Blue Ridge. Oscar and Grace (Chamberlain) Kelly and W. B. and Annette (Dunn) Curry of Wheelock, TX.

     Memorials may be made to the Bremond Public Library or the Bremond City Park fund.
