WHITNEY-George Clark, 47, of Whitney, died Tuesday morning in Johnson County in a car accident.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Chapel in Whitney. Burial will follow in the Whitney Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940 in Balltown, Ky., the son of John and Josephine Clark. He married Wendy Barron in 1965 in Marlin. The couple moved to the Whitney area four years ago. He was a mechanic in the main Post Office in Fort Worth. He was a Roman Catholic and served with the Army in Vietnam. He entered the service in 1958 and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy Clark of Whitney; three daughters, Renee Sneed, Melissa Clark, and Stephanie Clark, all of Whitney; two sons, Richard Clark and Douglas Clark, both of Kentucky; three brothers, John Clark Jr. of Louisville, Ky., Arnold Clark and Anthony Clark both of Bardstown; four sisters, Iona Bryan of Newshaven, Ky, Lynette Giardina of Garland and Ann Whelan of Evansville, Ind., and Barbara Harper of Westminister, Calif.
