Curtis L. Clark

 

     CURTIS L. CLARK passed away December 10, 1999 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born September 14, 1912 to Charles Lubin Clark and Rebecca Turner Clark at Cego, Texas. He was an attorney for Shell Oil Company for many years and prior to that taught school at Mason, Galveston’s Ball High and Lamar College.  During World War II he spent five years in the Army, ultimately being assigned to the Manhattan Project, serving as chief intelligence officer at Los Alamos, later Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

 

     He is survived by his wife, Maxine Harris Clark; sons, Curtis and Reginald; sister, Margaret Eakin; daughter-in-law, Margie Clark; grandson, Jonathan;  brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Dr. William M. Harris, Elizabeth Harris; sister-in-law, June Harris and numerous nephews and nieces.

 

     Family will receive friends at J. B. Earthman Tanglewood Chapel, 5740 San Felipe, Tuesday, December 14, 1999 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services 2 pm Wednesday, December 15, 1999 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Mark Lewis officiating. Internment: Forest Park Westheimer. Memorials may be sent to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
