CHARLOTTE MARKUM

September 22, 1943 - February 25, 2005

Charlotte Ann Markum, 61, of Marlin, Falls Co., Texas entered into rest on Friday, February 25, 2005. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Osborn officiating. Burial followed in the Calvary Cemetery. Charlotte was born September 22, 1943 in Many, Louisiana to Ira W. and Doris Anthony Miller. She was married to her husband Lester for 42 years. Charlotte was office manager and legal secretary for the Texas Department of Transportation, serving there for 17 years. She was a member of Marlin's First Baptist Church and a 27-year resident of Marlin. She volunteered in many school functions, was an avid reader and an amateur ham radio operator for 25 years. She loved doting over her grandkids. Charlotte was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Markum in 1966. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her.

Survivors include her husband, Lester L. Markum of Marlin; sons, Michael Markum and wife Jackie of Lott, Falls Co., Texas Jack Markum and wife Sherri of Gatesville, Coryell Co., Texas; sister, Carolyn Sue McDivit of Ovilla, Ellis Co., Texas, Texas; brother: Jerry Miller of Columbia, South Carolina; Grandchildren, William, Judie, Jana, Ashley, Megan, Kristal and Ronnie Markum and Jose Carcano.

Pallbearers were, William (Bill) Markum, Jose Carcano, Scott Kerr, Martin Matelski, William Walker and Ned Reaux.

Adams Funeral was in charge of arrangements
